Featuring over 20 hot air balloons, 100 food and craft vendors, live bands, fireworks displays, and much more, the Chester County Balloon Festival in PA is the must-see event of the summer. Now in its 10th year, the festival has expanded to a 3-day extravaganza where guests of all ages can enjoy balloon flights, plane rides, and even a walk-thru balloon tour. Hot Air Balloons
There’s nothing more magical than seeing the beauty of Pennsylvania’s natural landscape from above, and a hot air balloon ride is the perfect way to do so. Floating gently through the air, you’ll have spectacular views of rolling hills, trees, ponds, and streams, and may even be able to spot local wildlife like deer, fox, or red tail hawks. Guests can contact Air Ventures Hot Air Balloon Rides to reserve a ride, buy tickets online, or purchase a ride at the festival (cash only). Flights tend to sell out quickly, so be sure to get your tickets early!
Awesome Vendors
In between hot air balloon rides, stop by the festival’s food vendors where you can choose from a wide variety of delicious eats. Feel free to munch on a classic Maryland crab cake sandwich, or sink your teeth into some local Chester County barbecue. For those 21 and over, there will be wine tastings available from renowned area wineries as well as a Victory Breweries Beer Garden chock-full of craft beer. Guests can also purchase souvenirs and gifts from one of the festival’s many craft vendors, including handmade jewelry, professional balloon photos, and other unique merchandise.
Exciting Events
The 2016 Chester County Balloon Festival takes place June 24th through the 26th and will offer an eclectic mix of events and activities over the course of the weekend. The kids will love experiencing monster truck rides, a fire truck parade, kid’s zone, and tethered balloon rides, and adult guests can enjoy thrilling helicopter rides, introductory flight courses, and even a free scuba diving class.
