There are eight varieties of grapes grown in the mineral-rich soil, so you’re sure to find something among the wine list to try. Vynecrest Vineyards, Breinigsville, PA
The story of Vyncrest Vineyards and Winery began in 1974 after John and Jan Landis planted 50 grapevines on the crest of a hill. In 1989, Vynecrest became licensed and opened the tasting room in a renovated barn. It features a breathtaking view of the vineyard and a welcoming atmosphere comfortable for both first-time tasters and wine aficionados. On weekends, the Vyneskeller Wine Bar opens with a live piano player. On the last Sunday of each month, you can enjoy Jazz music.
Blue Mountain Vineyards & Cellars, New Tripoli, PA
Blue Mountain Vineyards started in 1986 with just 5 acres. Since then, it has expanded to more than 50 acres. At the vineyard, you’ll find a wide variety of grapes including Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet, and Sauvignon. Blue Mountain focuses on quality before quantity and is known for their excellent customer relations. Their decks, both indoor and out, sit off the spacious tasting room and overlook their estate grounds. The view from the tasting room including the vineyards and ponds scattered throughout. Pinnacle Ridge Winery, Kutztown, PA
