What’s summer without blueberries? Residents and visitors look forward to Bethlehem’s Blueberry Festival each year. Dubbed The Blueberry Festival and to Go Market, the event is now a five-day family-friendly festival. From July 17-21 visitors to the historic Burnside Plantation have the option of drive through pick up of goodies or stop-in to enjoy the modified offerings.
Blueberry everything is on the menu. Shoppers may browse on-line and then pre-order. Choose from favorites such as blueberry ice cream, pie, coffee cake and strudel. Blueberry Boxes offer themed packages full of all the essentials. The Breakfast Box features pancake, coffee, tea and of course blueberries. The Happiest Hour Box includes commemorative wine glasses, party snacks and Blueberry Shrub to mix up the perfect cocktail at home. Additional boxes boast children’s activities, fresh produce and sweet treats. Shoppers can even pre-order a blueberry bush to take and plant in their own garden.

There will be a number of offerings for those who want to park and tour the grounds of the historic farm. Some local crafters will sell their wares and plein air artists will be on site creating new works. Live musicians will add to the festive atmosphere. Visitors may tour the Colonial and Pollinator Gardens and take advantage of picnic areas on site. The market will be open daily during the week-long event from 10 a.m.-6 p.m..
