Everything You Need to Know About SteelStacks Concerts

Located the former site of the Bethlehem Steel Plant, the industrial giant that made steel for the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, SteelStacks in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, now hosts thousands of events each year. From cinema screenings and comedy shows to music festivals and concerts, the ten-acre campus is an impressive entertainment complex in the heart of the Lehigh Valley – and with three indoor and outdoor stages, it’s truly a music lover’s paradise. Just a mile down the road from your Sayre Mansion, guests can check out these upcoming SteelStacks concerts for a wonderful evening of live music, food, drinks, and fun! Here are some of our favorites.

Some of the Best Steelstacks Concerts to See Soon

ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks

The ArtsQuest Center was the first building to open on the SteelStacks site in 2011, and the sleek, modern building stood in stark contrast to the rusting steel blast furnaces beside it. Today, there are two intimate venues in the ArtsQuest Center that host ticketed concerts: the Musikfest Café and the Fowler Blast Furnace Room and Loft.

  • Atthe Musikfest Caféfloor-to-ceiling windows offer a bird’s eye view of the historic blast furnaces, which are lit up different colors at night. This one-of-a-kind venue can host a maximum of 400 guests and boasts an impressive line-up of artists, including past performances by Taylor Dayne, Echosmith, Gin Blossoms, The Yardbirds, Citizen Cope, and George Winston, among others. Come hungry and thirsty – the Cafe’s bars offer refreshing drinks and delicious food.
  • The Fowler Blast Furnace Room and Loft boasts three impressive walls of glass that also provide a breathtaking view of the old blast furnaces. With a maximum of 200 guests, any show you see here will be cozy and intimate. This venue is located on the mezzanine level of the ArtsQuest Center and has hosted many local artists and up-and-coming musicians.

Levitt Pavillion SteelStacks

The stage and backdrop at the Levitt Pavillion make this venue one of the most unique places to see a concert. Similar to the ArtsQuest Center, the Levitt Pavillion’s modern industrial structure also provides a juxtaposition between the past and the present. What makes this venue even more special is the staggering number of free concerts offered throughout the year, with over 50 performances in the summer alone! All of the summer events are family friendly, and previous performances have featured well-known artists like The Fabulous Thunderbirds, The Smithereens, The Drifters, Casey Abrams, Coco Montoya, Marcia Ball, and Orleans.

Music Events and Festivals

If you prefer your musical experience to last for several days, these SteelStacks Festivals will be your jam. Take in some smooth sounds at the River Jazz Festival, feel the rhythm at the Blast Furnace Blues, or have a blast at Musikfest, one of the largest and most diverse music festivals in the nation!

Delicious Food and Drinks

In addition to the Musikfest Café’s food and drink offerings, Steelstacks offers a variety of casual dining options, snacks, and beer/wine at Mike and Ike Bistro, the Mack Truck Stop Café (it looks like a real Mack truck!), the Town Square Grill, and the Capital BlueCross Creativity Commons.
