Since 2010, Run Lehigh Valley has been hosting a series of themed races across Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, with the goal of promoting a fun and competitive environment for runners of all levels. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned competitor, you can enjoy a variety of exciting events like 5K runs, obstacle courses, and half marathons. Points are awarded for each race based on theme participation and race performance, and a vacation prize will be awarded to the person with the most points at the end of the year. Our Favorite Races from Run Lehigh Valley
1. Brew-to-Brew 10K+
Part of the Earn Your Beer Series, this race is one of three unique events partnering with some of the best local Lehigh Valley breweries. The Brew to Brew 10K+ is the first event of the series and will be held on April 16, 2016. Starting at Allentown Brew Works at 10 AM and finishing at Bethlehem Brew Works, runners will take on a course of 6 miles down Hamilton Street, across the Hamilton Street Bridge, through Canal Park, and on Sand Island in Bethlehem. Once you reach the finish line, make your way to the afterparty and enjoy snacks, two free Brew Works beers, an event T-shirt, and a pint glass. Cheers!
2. Brews, Clues, and Running Shoes
During this race, teams of two or four will complete a series of challenges and race for the win! This Scavenger Hunt in Bethlehem will be held on April 30, 2016, and includes a race, trivia, photo hunt, and other mental and physical challenges on a course that runs between 5 and 7 miles. All teams will check-in at the starting location and will receive their t-shirt and first set of clues at noon. From here, everyone will follow their own path to complete their list and make it to the next checkpoint. Participants can expect prizes, an afterparty, and a crazy fun day in Lehigh Valley!
3. Musikfest 4 Miler
On August 7, 2016, Run Lehigh Valley will partner with Musikfest for the first annual Musikfest Point-to-Point 4 Miler. The race will begin at 10:30 AM in Allentown at the Canal Park and will end at Musikfest in Bethlehem, with a live band playing and cheering you on at the start and finish lines. The course winds through the park on the D&L trail and is flat and fast, with some grassy spots. Included in your registration is an event t-shirt, Musikfest Mug, shuttle transportation, and, of course, a fun race!
