Here’s What You Need to Know About Quiet Valley Farm

Visit Quiet Valley Farm
Since Quiet Valley is still a functioning farm, it is not a year-round attraction. It is open to the general public for the summer from the third Saturday in June through Labor Day, Tuesdays to Saturdays, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Sunday from noon until 5:00 p.m. Typically, visits to Quiet Valley Farm last around two hours. Admission for the summer tour is just $10 for adults and $5 for children, ages 3 to 12.
During your visit, you’ll be able to explore the many restored buildings, including an 1820 granddaddy cabin, farmhouse, and a one-room schoolhouse. Throughout the farm, there are guides who are in the character of a farmer from the 19th century. Their goal is to fully immerse themselves (as well as you) in the era of the 1800s. Attend an Event
There are three main events held at Quiet Valley Farm. The first is the Farm Animal Frolic, which is held during the last two of weekends in May. This event is the first big party for the newly born farm animals, and includes hands-on activities, refreshments, and plenty of cute animals! Admission to this event is just $8 for adults.
Another great event is the annual Harvest Festival! Learn about heritage crafts and traditional skills. For example, there are typically demonstrations on spinning, weaving, candle-making, and even how to make apple butter! There is also some fun entertainment for the whole family, like the horse-drawn wagon rides and the pony rides. Admission for the Harvest Festival is $10 for adults.
Get into the Christmas spirit with the annual Old Time Christmas festival. This celebration has been running for over 25 years. It details how Christmas was celebrated in the 19th century. Enjoy a traditional Victorian family holiday, from seeing a live, barnyard Nativity scene to listening to a story of farm life experience.
