Just a 20-minute drive from our inn is Dorney Amusement Park, one of the best Pennsylvania day trips for kids! With award-winning entertainment, fantastic food, and a wet and wild water park, Dorney truly has something for everyone. Guests can get their thrills on a variety of Dorney Park Rides, from sky-high coasters to bumper cars, or spend the day admiring 30 life-size dinosaurs in the new Dino park. Peanuts’ fans, be sure to visit Planet Snoopy where you can meet all of your favorite characters!

2. Amish Country

If you’re looking for cool places to visit in PA, Lancaster Amish Country is a must. Lancaster is America’s oldest settlement and is home to thousands of Amish and Pennsylvania Dutch residents. On the 12-acre village grounds, guests can take a horse & buggy ride, tour the farmhouses and windmills, and explore a variety of shops and stores that will make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time.

When it’s time for lunch, grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants and snack stands located throughout the park and enjoy relaxing in the heart of Hershey.

5. Pocono Mountains

A trip to the Poconos provides endless fun for all ages, no matter what time of year you visit! Here, guests can ski and snowtube in the winter, hike beautiful waterfall trails in the fall, or boat on over 2,400 miles of lakes and rivers during the warm summer months.
